Antonella Boralevi was born in Florence. She is the author of novels, short stories and essays, a professional journalist, columnist, writer and host of TV talk shows, originator of TV formats, sole creator and author of content for her own website, cinema scriptwriter, conference and roundtable moderator, and a developer of cultural events.
On March 1, 2010, she will take office as Expert for Communication and Culture at the Italian Embassy in Paris.
She graduated in History of the Italian Language and Philosophy of Language, and went on to work as a researcher at the Accademia della Crusca and then at the Scuola Normale in Pisa. She pursued an academic career until 1989.
The new book is “Byron, the dog who taught to me the joy of life”, Mondadori Publishing.
It is on sale from 2016 October 4th. The great idea is to talk about the emotions and feelings which are the main content of our life, by the lessons a dog, called Byron, gave to the author.

On April 2016 has been published by ELECTA the Iconic Special Edition Art Book “ESSERE PARMA” in english and italian.
Intitled “THE ACCIDENTAL MUSIC”, this novel has been created under commission by Antonella Boralevi, in order to celebrate the Centenary of the Parfum “Acqua di Parma” owned by the LMVH Group.
The story is settled in between nowadays and 1840 in Parma, crossing love and destiny of the Parma Dutchess Maria Luigia and her husband with a couple of american girl and italian engineer.
In 2014 the novel “The Inn of Missed Opportunities”, a novel about coping with the past to gain your future, settled in Paris, edited by Rizzoli has been a great success and an international best-seller, published by Bertelsmann in Germany and by Shogakukan in Japan.
In 2013, “THE ONE NIGHT’S KISSES”, settled in Cortina d’Ampezzo, a love story between a rich bored and spoiled young man and a poor briliant girl, edited by Rizzoli, has got in the first 10 days 2 new editions and it is still asked by readers.
It is the intense and touching story of an extraordinary strong, impossible passion which rises during the only Night of the Year’s Eve 2012, between two young 20 years old girl and boy, born in opposite world. Rich and power, pure and cinic. This passion explodes and crashed the social difference, but would change their lives for ever.

Starting in 1984, she conducted major interviews for VOGUE ITALIA, moving on to PANORAMA in 1985. Over time, she has also written columns and features for various daily, weekly and monthly publications (including AD, GIOIA, MARIE CLAIRE, LA NAZIONE, IL RESTO DEL CARLINO, FIRMA, DOMUS, ULISSE 2000, MAX, GENTE VIAGGI, IMAGO, and QUADERNI DI TEATRO). Since 1987, she has been a front-page writer at IL MESSAGGERO,the mayon daily paper of Rome and one of the most important of Italy. Since 1995, she has been a lead writer at DONNA MODERNA. She is also a frequent guest commentator on major television talk shows.
She writes her opinions on LA STAMPA and holds the column “Lato Boralevi” on the website lastampa.it. She writes about travels and people on GRAZIA.
She has written cultural programs for RADIODUE (including “Le grandi scrittrici”), and in 2009, she presented the cultural feature “LA MEZZANOTTE”.
She has written, directed and presented as anchor woman with great success cultural talk shows and major interviews for the RAI network, (RAI UNO, RAI DUE, RAI TRE), MEDIASET (RETEQUATTRO), and LA7, including:

Television as OPINION LEADER
Antonella Boralevi is asked to partecipate to the leading political and news talk shows for Rai Uno, Rai Due, Canale 5, La 7, Sky TG24.
Since February 2001, on VIRGILIO, the leading Italian internet portal, she has been the sole owner and author of the website “Con gli occhi delle donne” at www.antonellaboralevi.it, featuring contributions to web talk shows, forums, advice, and discussions, and visited by nearly one million unique visitors per month.

She has written three screenplays for the RAI network, based on her short stories published in the collection “IL SEGRETO”. She is currently working together with other writers on the screenplay for a film adaptation of her novel “Prima che il vento”.
Antonella Boralevi has been appointed as Diplomat at the Bureau of Foreign Affairs of Italy.She has been Advisor for the Italian Image and Culture Communication at the Paris Embassy of Italy from 2010 till 2012. Then, she has been asked to join the Cultural Department of Prime Minister Secretary Office in 2013 for developing a Project for Italian language. Now she is Special Advisor to the President for the promotion of Cultural aAfairs at the Italian trade Agency in Rome.
